HAYDEN AND HONDA TO SAY FAREWELL

HONDA RACING INFORMATION

HAYDEN AND HONDA TO SAY FAREWELL

Nicky Hayden will ride his final race for the
Repsol Honda Team at Valencia, Spain, on October
26. The American star and Honda have enjoyed a
decade of racing action together, climbing
motorcycling's highest peak when they conquered
the MotoGP World Championship in 2006.

Hayden has ridden Honda's since he was a
teenager, first as a privateer, when at the age
of 18 he won the 1999 US Supersport title aboard
a CBR600. The following year he joined forces
with American Honda and in 2002 won the US
Superbike crown on an RC51. That success
propelled The Kentucky Kid onto the world scene
with the Repsol Honda...

All-New Rancher AT headlines the full line-up of Honda ATV's for 2009!

Just read this first great review by www.atv.off-road.com...

Automatic Transmission
Honda has always brought great engineering and design to the table when it relates to the next big thing. This year we see the "AT” at the end of the Rancher name and this stands for the new Automatic Transmission. The auto transmission has a design like no others in that the ride is smooth and linear with just a slight hint that the unit is changing gears.

Now you can still power shift this worker if you just want to play but if a smooth gradual increase in speed is your desire then you’ll never no the transmission is working hard beneath you. The down-shifts can be felt a bit more as you release the throttle though. This is due to the downshift and the engine braking...

Honda to produce a Hybrid Motorcycle!!

Honda Motor Co. Inc. will start selling hybrid motorcycles as early as the early mid-2010's, and with smaller electric motorcycles coming out as early as 2011, the automaker has announced, according to the Mainichi Daily news in Mainichi, Japan.

The move is part of Honda's efforts to cope with rising gasoline prices and global warming by applying its 4-wheeled hybrid and battery technology to motorcycles, the article says.

Adding a hybrid engine and battery to a motorcycle's traditional internal combustion engine was thought to present too many engineering problems, not least that of size. Honda being the type of company who loves a challenge has taken on the prospect and believes that it can shrink a hybrid engine enough to be mounted on a motorcycle frame!

RS125R/RS250R Availability information

Information as of 11/7/2008 regarding availability of current model [or non-current] RS125/250R HRC GP 2-stroke Racer.

We have been receiving lots of calls regarding RS availability. Let me give you the facts. As the official Honda HRC representative in North America, we are at the mercy of American Honda regarding vehicle and parts stocking.

The good news is the parts division is still fully up to speed, and we still have currently [and plan on doing so] a huge supply of HRC parts for the RS125/250R's. Their are times when we must re-load our supply which may cause a 60-90 day waiting period for some items since we are waiting on them from HRC japan and must put in a large stocking order to keep them happy.

Now the bad news is on the vehicle side....
